Swimming Lessons At Lordsburg Pool This July

Lordsburg announces swimming lessons at the municipal pool starting Friday July 3 at 10 A.M. Each session lasts 30 minutes daily for ten days, fee is $20, with a break for the 4th of July weekend. Instructor Fred LaMarca can be reached at 542-3774. eligibility requires standing water at least three feet deep.

Lordsburg School Board Sets July 7 Meeting

The Lordsburg Board of Education will meet Tuesday July 7 at 7:00 PM in the Board Room at Lordsburg Municipal Schools. A closed session on personnel will precede the public meeting.

Bob Green Bound Over To District Court In Murder Solicit Case

Bob Green was bound over to District Court after a June 26 preliminary hearing before Judge Y B Morelos on two counts of Criminal solicitation. The charges allege he tried to hire someone to aid and abet murder in the first degree in exchange for a 1973 Lincoln. Green is held in Hidalgo County jail with bond set at $100,000 and is represented by court appointed attorney Peter Keys.

Responder Refresher Course in Lordsburg Planned

An EMT-13 and 1st Responder Refresher Course will be held at The Hidalgo County Ambulance Station in Lordsburg for one week July 13 to 18. Classes run 6 pm to 10 pm on weekdays and 9 am to 5 pm on Saturday. Taught by W L Sanders, the course is mandatory for all EMT B and 1st Responders whose certification expires this year.

Independence Day Swim Meet at Lordsburg Pool

A Fourth of July swimming competition at Lordsburg Pool starts at 9 A.M. with races for all ages and no entry fee. Ribbons will be awarded as prizes and everyone is invited to join the fun.
