District Director Marcus T. Neely of INS reminds area aliens that tomorrow is the deadline to file the 1956 Address Report under the 1952 act. He notes all aliens except diplomatic staff must submit at the nearest post office or INS office during January. penalties include fines or deportation for noncompliance. Last year about 40,879 reports were filed in the area.

Antique Cars Cross Country Tour to Visit Lordsburg
Lordsburg will host a Parade of Antique and Classic Automobiles on Saturday January 26 as part of the March of Dimes. The event features four national car clubs coordinating a Pony Express style tour with donations benefiting polio efforts. Cars will be displayed at Hidalgo garage overnight with a paid admission supporting the March of Dimes.

Twenty four 4 H leaders and club presidents met January 23 in the Hidalgo County courthouse with county agents Eva Thomas and Ed Hitson and State Leader Tiny Faye Jones to organize a governing 4 H Council.
