Pythian Knights Honor Veterans at Lodge Event

More than seventy Knights of Pythias and friends gathered at the K of P Hall Tuesday to honor eighteen members with twenty five years or more of membership. The program featured a flag salute, a formal dinner, musical numbers, veteran pinning, and remarks by past grand officers, with chiefs of the Pythian Sisters in attendance.

New Mexico Reports High Compliance With Price Ceilings

A statewide survey by Price Panel Assistants shows 95 percent of 8 651 items checked in 872 New Mexico food stores sold at or under ceiling prices. Bernalillo county had 88 percent compliance across 234 stores with 2 percent of 2 426 items above ceiling.

Wright Completes Course At Air Service Command Station England

Cpl. Dougie N Wright son of Mr and Mrs Robert J Wright formerly of Animas New Mexico completed a course at an Air Service Command Station in England. The program bridged US training with combat duties in Germany and included lectures on chemical warfare defense and health in a combat zone. He will join the next station where American planes spearhead the push into Germany.
