William S. Martin Jr Named Deputy District Attorney
District Attorney David A. Lane announced William S. Martin Jr will serve as Deputy District Attorney for the 6th Judicial District in Lordsburg and for Hidalgo Grant and Luna Counties. Martin, a Silver City resident since 1966, is a University of Mississippi Law School graduate admitted to the Mississippi Bar in 1954 and to the New Mexico Bar in 1954. He previously served as City Attorney for Eunice Lordsburg and Central, Lea County Probate Judge, Special Assistant Attorney General, and Public Defender for the 6th Judicial District and Silver City. He and his wife Elizabeth live at 101 North Cooper in Silver City where she teaches at Harrison H Schmitt Elementary.
