Hidalgo County Considers Quarter-Percent Gross Receipts Tax
Hidalgo County Commissioners will discuss a one quarter percent gross receipts tax at their February meeting. One eighth funds indigent care including ambulance and primary medical services. the other eighth goes to the General Fund for items such as solid waste regulation.
