Civilian Girls quintet challenges the DAAF Air Wacs to a rematch at Post Gym after Airy Wacs beat the Gals 24 to 10 in a preliminary to the DAAF All Star game two weeks earlier. Pioneer cattleman Curtis Rainbolt dies in Lordsburg
Curtis L. Rainbolt a veteran southwest cattleman died in Lordsburg February 17 1944 at age 76 years 10 months and 24 days. Funeral services were at Heather Funeral Home with burial at Mountainview Cemetery. He was born in Venado Texas and had lived in Roswell Clifton and Lordsburg where he moved fifty years ago after a fall last October that broke his hip. He leaves two sisters Mrs B M McWhorter and Mrs J M Alsebrook and a brother Wiley Rainbolt.
