Local Hidalgo County Men Put On Weight Since 1960
A health survey shows Hidalgo County men over 18 weigh about 172 pounds now, up from 166 in 1960, with average height rising to 5 feet 9 inches. The study, by the Department of Health Education and Welfare, notes men have gained around six pounds and collectively lose about 40,000 pounds to reach desirable standards. Women also grew taller and weigh less change overall.

Stolen Vehicle Recovered by New Mexico State Police
