Charges Against Isaacs Dismissed
L F Isaacs faced charges of discharging a firearm and threatening Ivan R Richardson. A preliminary hearing led to dismissal urged by District Attorney Norman Hodges. Local National Guard Unit Holds Annual Christmas Party
Battery C 2nd Gun Battalion officers and men held their annual Christmas party on December 16 with cocktails, a turkey dinner for 130, and a decorated armory. Letters of commendation were presented to many members for summer camp performance. Prizes were awarded from a party fundraiser and thanks extended to the American Legion and CYO for support.

One Killed in One Car Crash Near Lordsburg
Mrs Hurl Mullins sixty nine of Huntington West Virginia was killed in a one car crash about twenty five miles east of Lordsburg. Mark Lee Garner one died later at William Beaumont Hospital El Paso after being airlifted for skull fracture. The driver Mrs Barbara A Garner and Randy Allen were hospitalized. State Police Officer Joe Rutland investigated.
