Better Telephone Service Promised For Lordsburg In Immediate Future
Lordsburg officials promised improved local and toll telephone service. The City Council agreed not to contest the rate increase proposed before the state public service commission on December 16, pending city attorney Forest Sanders return. Officials cited a 25 cent monthly cap and planned expansions including more circuits between Lordsburg Safford and El Paso.

Christmas lights go up Sunday on Railroad Avenue
Railroad Avenue will be decorated for the Yaletite season this Sunday afternoon at one o'clock. Firemen are asked to be on hand to assist the Community Public Service boys with installing the Christmas lights and other decorations.

Man Loses Both Legs After Train Run Over
