The Pythian Sisters met in K I Hall with officer elections and plans for Christmas baskets. Visiting sisters from Texas and New Mexico joined local members, with social events at the Scofield home and Broadway Cafe. Lordsburg Mavericks opened basketball with Yaleta and Safford on deck, plus a full 1941-42 schedule and season-ticket push. A Barney Wood shower at Valley View Church honored the couple, and a Junior class play Girl Shy was announced for December 18. Fair Directors Convene Busy Meeting for Next Year
The Pair Association directors held their first post election meeting at the courthouse on Saturday December 6 with Radley McDonald as president. Harlan Black was unanimously re elected secretary treasurer and committees were formed for finance grounds junior stock show registered cattle feeder sale yards and ships horse show sheep goats and more. The board welcomed new members and pledged to pay pledges and outstanding bills while applying cash to the bank note.
