Visual screening of all New Mexico drivers becomes mandatory for license issuance and renewals starting December 1 1966. The test uses Keystone telebinoculars with Snelling charts, piloted August 1966 and expanded statewide with mobile units planned for remote areas by 1968.

W S C S Christmas Program Brightens Parish House
The annual Woman's Society of Christian Service Christmas program and meeting was held at the Methodist parsonage on Tuesday night December 6. The event featured a decorated Christmas tree, centerpieces, a short business meeting led by Mrs. Don Weckworth, and a program titled Service For Christmastide assisted by several members. The group donated cloth ing and household articles to Houchen Community Center in El Paso for needy families. Refreshments were served by Mrs. Earl Ball and others.

Vehicle owners may return forms with payment to receive new plates or 1967 validation stickers. Deadline to register by mail is February 15, 1967 and 1966 plates expire March 2, 1967 at midnight.
