Lost Treasure film shot at Shakespeare and Hidalgo County
Telemon Company filmed an hour long LOST TREASURE episode at Shakespeare Ghost on Monday and Tuesday, then moved to southern Hidalgo County near Skeleton Canyon. The Cowboy Television Network plans a March 1990 premiere for the series, with producers Loggin and Western noting a magazine documentary action adventure mix. Local crew and metal detector reps participated, and Santa Claus will visit Lordsburg on December 23 at 7:00 PM for a treasure reenactment event.

Max Harold DeVilbiss aged 71 died Thursday November 30 at Playas Medical Clinic. Visitation was Sunday and the funeral was Monday at Baca's Heather Funeral Chapel with Reverend Floyd Richie and Bradley Mahan officiating. He was born October 6 1918 in Frio County Texas and lived in Animas since 1924. He was a farmer, a Valley View Church member, American Legion and New Mexico Farm Bureau member, and Navy World War II veteran. Survived by wife Nell two sons Walter Thomas and Max Harold Jr a daughter Martha Nell a sister Mary Sue Crider four grandsons five granddaughters three great granddaughters and two great grandsons. pallbearers and honorary bearers listed.

An NEA rep supported calls for a third party to accompany teachers in confrontations, while the board urged compiling written ideas for review.
