Animas School Gym Addition Open House Event

The public is invited to an Open House Friday from 7 to 10 p.m. at Animas School to view the new gym addition. The improvement adds seating for about 400, two dressing rooms, a storage area, a coaches' office and lobby, and a concession stand. Ace Building and Supply Co. of Hobbs constructed the addition.

Elmer R. Jones of Lordsburg California has volunteered for duty in South Vietnam. He will depart this weekend via Hawaii Guam and the Philippines. Jones a World War II veteran served in Germany and Korea and is employed in the Norwalk aircraft industry.

Deming to Host FBI Police Training School

FBI Special Agent in Charge Leonard Blaylock announced a police training school for Deming New Mexico police, at Chief Robert Stavinoha’s request. A committee led by Dr. Bonner Crawford of the University of New Mexico is conducting a North Central Association re-evaluation of Lordsburg High School this week.
