The Relief Society staged The Guest of the Gypsy directed by AD Payne with Mrs T B at the piano featuring Sue Moranes Mortensen Emma Mina Brown Stella Smith Maud Worth Henatrice Smith Clause Mae Lent and Miss Smith. The show drew cheers for gypsy features singing and humor. Afterward guests enjoyed sandwiches salad cupcakes and cocoa. John Tyler of Texas and daughters Alice and Mary visited Virden November 22. Mrs Cathrine Whipple her daughter Mrs Freeman Cooley and son Eldon of Mesa Arizona spent the weekend here. The Hergerson boy Alvin suffered a fall. Maude Larson died November 26 after illness. funeral held Sunday with tributes from Mrs Lines HM Smith and HW Payne. Larson leaves Urban and Tillman. Burial set in Globe beside husband Mitchell. Salt Lake Church music committee secretary visited Virden to direct church organ instruction.

Sgt and Mrs A W Schuman of Fort Mauger Honolulu T H toured the United States en route to Chicago for the National American Legion Convention where Mrs Schuman was a delegate. They visited many states and are bound for San Francisco. Donald Johnsons brother Geo Johnson of Silver City and his wife and daughter Helen spend Thanksgiving in Lordsburg.
