Roy Melugin arrives with his wife and their 26 month old son after serving as principal in Dalhart and Pleasant Hill. A University of New Mexico master's and a Colorado AB degree lead his credentials. he studied at Peabody and New Mexico Normal, and began teaching in Carlsbad before moving to Lordsburg. The family, born in Gainesville Texas, married in 1998, joins Lordsburg's school community.

Robert Henry Woods born January 18 1875 Hillsdale Michigan died August 14 after long illness. He moved to Silver City 35 years ago, then Red Rock ranch, settled Lordsburg in 1920. Funeral 4 pm Tuesday at Heather Funeral Home led by Rev Hall, burial in Lincoln New Mexico.
