Local Boys to Play in North-South All-State Game

Clemente Bassa and Ralph Craig will play for the South team in the 4th North-South All-State game in Albuquerque on August 23. Craig tops district scoring with 87 points and earned nine letters. Bassa starred in football and basketball and will enroll at State Teacher's College, Silver City.

Proceedings recorded of the Hidalgo County Board of Commissioners at the Courthouse on August 4 1947 noting bills presented and warrants to be drawn from General Fund for jail repair salaries equipment insurance telecommunication water and fuel postage office expenses sheriff and assessor salaries and other sundry costs.
