Lordsburg Opens City Park and Kiddies Playground Site
In a six week effort City officials expanded land around the water tank to create a park and playground on three lots. They planted twelve mulberry trees and installed eight swings six teeter totters a slide and four baby swings with future expansion doubling swing capacity. Picnic tables with canopies are planned and a second park of equal size will be built across the street. the area will become a full city block for tourists and residents to picnic while safety measures include a 10 mph limit and enforced caution to protect children.
