The Lordsburg Golf Club held its annual meeting at the Chamber of Commerce Monday night with Pete Chase presiding. Elected were F P Wogstad as secretary and treasurer, and an executive committee comprising Glen L. Ross, R. E. Bowens, Claude Olney, and C. H. McDonough. Membership dues reduced from $8 to $5 per year, payable upon submission.

Missionary Society Silver Jubilee Conference Held in Albuquerque

The Methodist Episcopal Church South Missionary Society met in Albuquerque April 2–4 to celebrate 25 years with a silver jubilee. Mrs. J. W. Perry of Chattanooga chaired the event with state and local leaders and 250 guests attending a tea social. The conference reported growth, funds, and support for a Brazilian missionary, Monta MacVadin, with the group exceeding 2000 members.

Mesdames C.8 Waller M. Chase Scofield and P.M. Melonis attended an all day missionary meeting in Solomoneville Arizona. Mrs Walker delivered uplifting reports on the Cornel meeting in St Louis and the New Mexico Women’s Missionary State Conference in Albuquerque. Son of Man Film Shown in Lordsburg

W W Holt traveling with the roadway of America motorcade saw The Son of Man at Midland Texas and wrote to Rev C S Walker that the picture is over two hours long but the most tarcelears film ever. It is coming to the Methodist church of Lordsburg tonight at seven thirty. Rev Walker says urge everybody to see it with children accompanied by parents and a silver offering taken.
