Survived by wife Ruby, son Garland L, two sisters and two brothers. Funeral at Methodist Church with choir and pallbearers named. services Wednesday at 4 PM.

Lions Meet at Woman's Club for Luncheon Series
Beginning April 13 the Lions will meet at the Woman's Clubhouse for regular Tuesday noon luncheons. George Harding and Dick Rice picked sides at the meeting and a three month attendance contest will run with the losers hosting a dinner for the winners at the end.

The American Legion presents Fun For You an April show at Lordsburg High School auditorium. Childrens story hour features Central grade students. Quiz Kids impersonated by 5th and 6th graders. High school girls chorus perform in costumes. Barn Dance skit with Joe Moore emcee and local actors. A square dance finale features local couples and a band led by Mrs Williams.

Lt Col Charles J Jeffus executive officer to the district engineer corps of engineers is transferred to Fort Belvoir Virginia to join the staff and faculty of the Engineer School. Born in Logan New Mexico he enlisted in the 7th Cavalry at Fort Bliss after graduating from New Mexico Military Institute in 1930 and graduated West Point in 1935. He later attended MIT.
