Mr Wilbur Hall of Kansas City arrived to visit relatives here. Mrs E P Emerson returned from Pittsburg with her daughter Mrs Mina of Findlay Ohio. Mrs Mina Battles of Toledo, formerly here, stays with Mr Wm Bennett on Prospect street. Mr Mark Andress of Union street went to Cleveland. family to follow for a future home. Wm Kellogg and family moved to Cleveland. H W Manley shipped a shipper of dressed capons to New York. third shipment this season. B B Herrick and son Robert went to Cleveland to see a new boat on the Cuyahoga river. Election passed quietly. town officers: Charles West trustee, R N Goodwin assessor, Wm H Fisher treasurer, C T Waite justice of peace. Chas Bailey moved into Jane Bruce house. Miss Mary Booth of Oberlin college visited family. Slaughter's saw mill moved near quarry. Road scrapers urged on Indian Hollow road. Mary Booth sugar party at home. John Biggs barn struck by lightning and burned. cow, calf, hay lost. April 5th 1893 Brownhelm. Farmers prep oats. Mrs Mattie Jenne of Cleveland visiting sister Mrs Cora McQueen. Mr O and Mrs Theodore Hoffner of Collinwood visiting Henry Hoffner. Miss Grace Sige and Winnie Hopkins of Oberlin visiting here. Mr Luther McQueen bought house and lot from Mrs Dora Hutler of Oberlin. John Hailey Jr and wife visiting his parents J and Mrs J Bailey. he recently married.
In Brownhelm on April sixteenth 1843 Miss Georgia began her school days after a calm town election where Democrats claimed victory. EC Moulder moved his saw mill to Shattuck’s property and workers buzzed wood for H B Peabody and Jasper Watson. Watson injured a hand adjusting a band against the boiler. H W Peabody had a runaway last Sunday. he was thrown from a cart eight miles before being cared for by Mr. Hardy in Kipton. no major damage reported.
