Feast Day of St Francis Blesses Pets at Lorain Parish
Dozens of congregants at St Peter Parish Lorain brought pets to be blessed on the Feast of St Francis. The Rev. Craig Hovanec led a short service blessing each animal with holy water and urged care and love, noting the saint is the patron of animals. He said pets teach unconditional love and that faithfulness endures through health and hardship.
