Lifeguards Sought as Amherst Pool Faces Closure Risk
Amherst warns Anna Schmauch Memorial Pool may close this summer without more lifeguards. Mayor Costilow notes only one returning guard and the national shortage pressing many towns. Local effort includes lower age limits, class reimbursements, and $14 starting pay. 11 guards needed, 15 preferred, with recruitment details via Jami Anderson.

North Ridgeville Voters Approve 170 Million High School Levy
In November North Ridgeville voters approved Issue 16 a 170 million construction levy for a new Ridgeville High School designed by ThenDesign Architecture Willoughby. Project manager Clair Bank says interior layouts like a maker space and student common area are planned while the public helps shape exterior aesthetics.
