Red Bank Man Badly Beaten In Highway Robbery
Samuel Portner of Washington Street Red Bank was attacked at about 8 30 pm near Washington and Wallace streets. He suffered a fractured skull and a deep head wound while fleeing a robber. He was taken to Mcomouwth Memorial Hospital and is resting after treatment. Police investigate with no clues yet.

In West Long Branch a Cedar Tree dispute ends with Siut Sherman defeating William Chamberlain in a jury verdict.
