Brakeman Dies of Injuries After Bridge Contact
James Gravatt of South Amboy died at Monmouth Memorial Hospital from a skull fracture after coming into contact with an overhead bridge at the Ark Avenue crossing. Gravatt, about 25, unmarried, was a brakeman on an extra Pennsylvania freight and found in the yard of the engine after passing the bridge.
