The Inquiry Board reports Judge Gervais issued a writ of habeas corpus demanding Hapry K Thaw be produced in Mon treals Quebec. William Travers Row, ex District Attorney of New York County, was arrested on gambling charges and claimed the Thaw lawyers aim to remove him from the scene for a plot. Jeremiah Sullivan a Pennsylvania freight train brakeman fell from the top of a box car while passing the Mictawan bridge yesterday morning and was badly cut about the head with a deep laceration over the left temple. He was taken to Amboy city hospital where Dr M B M drew forty stitches to close the wounds. No broken bones or internal injuries were found. Sullivan's home is in Jersey City.

Trenton September 5. Twenty three contests for Democratic Republican and Progressive state committee membership will occur at the September 23 primary. Democrats lead with eleven in Atlantic, Bergen, Burlington, Camden, Cumberland, Gloucester, Morris, Passaic, Somerset and Union counties. Republicans contest in Ber gen, Burlington, Cumberland, Hudson and Salem counties. committees sit in Camden, Hudson, Mercer, Passaic, Sussex and Union counties. The open direct primary ushers in reorganizations and the retire ment of old guard leaders under the German Act. New committees will draft platforms in state committees for the first time.
