Man Shot Thrice and Slashed in Street Attack
Antonio Gulla lies in Monmouth Memorial Hospital after being shot three times and slashed about the face, neck and body during a shooting incident in Mor ris avenue. Vincenzo Labbate of Wilson Avenue was arrested after witnesses saw Gulla carried toward a wagon en route to the hospital. Police say Labbate shot Gulla three times and cut him severely with a razor, leaving Gulla in serious condition.

Charles Gehlhaus, a baker from Atlantic Highlands, was injured when his car overturned after the steering gear failed near the stone church while he drove from Highlands to Atlantic Highlands.
