Had Narrow Escape From Live Wire At Monmouth
David H. Smith superintendent of the Monmouth Lighting Company passed out for about twenty minutes yesterday after touching a live 2300 volt wire while wiring a garage at Monument Park. Two physicians treated him and he was later driven home in an automobile, slowly recovering. Bernard Hanlon assisted him when the accident occurred near the garage on George B. Schanck's estate. The line had been misidentified as carrying 110 volts but was crossed with another wire, delivering the full current.

Shipwrecked duo rescued after Barnegat Bay voyage

Morris Avenue Barber Fractures Wrist in Peguetar Fall
Frank Torchin, Morris avenue barber, fractured his left wrist Wednesday afternoon while carrying a barrel of potatoes up stairs. The barrel struck a low ceiling near the top, throwing him off balance and causing him to fall. He landed amid scattered potatoes, reporting pain in the back of his head and left wrist. He treated it at home before visiting Dr Felice, who reduced the fracture. Torchin wore a sling. neck pain subsided though a large bump remained at the base of the brain.
