Union Kindergarten May Party Reminiscent School Event

The Kings of the city plan a May party tomorrow morning at the Y M C A on Washington street. Children will perform a program with songs poems and games led by Kindergarten teachers Miss C. E. Will Rebuild Barn for Charles Matthews Near Tinton Falls

Work to rebuild a destroyed barn of Charles Matthews near Tinton Falls will start soon. The new 32 by 208 foot structure will be twenty feet high, six feet wider than the old barn, with a large corn crib and heavier timbers, costing about $5,000. Earling Johnson Frank, Red Bank contractors and builders, will carry out the job.

Red Bank Players Lose to East Orange Opponents

Red Bank checker players Thomas Tallman Maurice Dorowicz and Dr Walter L Mason traveled to East Orange Monday night. Dr Mason was the only Red Bank winner taking two games. East Orange will host Red Bank on Monmouth Street next Monday night. A strawberry and ice cream festival with home made shortcake is planned at Oakhurst Shape this afternoon and evening.

Lost Children Found In City After Brief Separations

A three year old girl named Bessie Rogan was found on the street and taken to City Hall by Mrs. Henry Woolley after wandering from home. Police seek her home address as she awaits reunification. Budget adoption by Board of Education ratified by City Board

After a free discussion the budget adopted by the Board of Education and submitted for approval to the City Board of Estimate was ratified at a meeting held at City Hall last night. The budget calls for an expenditure of 114,570 dollars, of which 53,174.79 dollars is to be raised by special taxation.

The U S Weather Bureau forecasts fair weather tonight and Friday with light variable to west winds. Readings from Display Station Long Branch show a 30.03 inch barometer and 57 degree temperature at 8 am with a 58 yesterday high and 63 low last night. Fire destroys Goldsmith villa in Cedar avenue blaze

A dramatic blaze struck S M Goldsmith's Cedar avenue summer villa last night, threatening the mansion and its silver and jewelry. Firemen confined the flames to the third floor and roof after a general alarm. defective wires were not found as the cause, with the origin believed near a gymnasium partition and a doorway. The loss is estimated near 10000 dollars. the family reopened May 12 after spring preparations.

Second Avenue Liveryman Loses Damage Suit

Liveryman John H Van Note of Second Avenue was non-suited in his damage suit against the New Jersey Central Railroad. He claimed damages from an August 1909 stage collision at the Second Avenue crossing that injured his horses. Contributory negligence was argued and a motion for a nonsuit was granted after testimony. Attorneys included Johnson and Coonover for Van Note and Holmes Ivins for the railroad.

Silk dress goods once stolen from Adam Salz Keyport were found yesterday in the Jacob Rosenberg building on Norwood avenue. Detective Rue and Salz identified the items by Salz tag and price marks. Rosenberg, jailed awaiting grand jury action, claims the goods were bought from rightful owners and will name the buyers later.

Eagle Attacks Aviator During Patris Madrid Flight

In San Sebastian on May 25 M. Gilbert faced a giant eagle attack while competing in the Patis Madrid flight. The bird lunged three times and Gilbert fired a revolver to fend it off, forcing an emergency landing. Garros encountered motor trouble and Vedrine had a minor mishap. all resumed flights.

Red Bank High School Fund Show Promises Diverse Acts

An amusement program at Red Bank High School Auditorium will feature two playlets, a rainbow drill and a piano solo plus a vocal performance. Proceeds go to the literary fund. Lifesavers Host Seasonal Prayer Services at Monmouth Beach

During fall winter and spring the Y P ACk of the First Presbyterian Church held prayer services twice monthly at Station No A Monmouth Beach. The season ended Tuesday night Reverend Lovellee delivered the message with seven Christian Endeavor members present. Lifesavers end visits for two months at midnight Wednesday as duty passes to the next captain for sixty days.
