Miss Ellen Rolleston of New York married Carlo Bugli of New York and Naples at her Monmouth Beach summer home. The bride, granddaughter of Willoughby Belleston, descends from Lees and Saunders of Virginia. The groom, a partner at Rimbach Bugli and Weill, is a Naples University and Royal Oriental Seminary graduate. They plan a South trip, a continental tour, and a Westchester home after mourning relatives.

Albert Wardell Dies at 83 on Monmouth Road

Albert Wardell longtime Ocean township farmer died yesterday afternoon at two at his daughter Mrs William Parker home on Monmouth road West Long Branch in his 84th year. He had been in failing health more than a year and confined to the house two months. Funeral Wednesday at two at his daughter's home Rev C B Fisher officiating. Burial by William K Morris Jr funeral director. He is survived by four daughters and a son. He farmed beside the late Benjamin King and was respected by Ocean township farmers. He had recently been living with his daughter in West Long Branch.

Last day to register for presidential primaries passes

May 28 marked the final opportunity to place names on the registration list for the presidential primaries. City Clerk’s office reported 39 citizens who did not vote last November filed affidavits to register at least ten days before the election, while nearly 400 registered voters did not vote and cannot participate unless they filed affidavits. Last November's total vote was 2,936 with 2,721 registered. prior year 3,688 registered and 2,920 voted. The drop is attributed to last year’s personal registration law.

Conquers Runaway After Hard Fight on Brighton Avenue

William Chasey hero of the hour on Brighton avenue Saturday afternoon as a frightened horse escaped from Hennessey’s fish market. Chasey wrestled the reins with a dangling bit and tridle, subduing the maddened animal after a lengthy chase toward Terrace Hines then aided him. Witnesses called the struggle battle royal demanding nerve and courage. A Saturday Red Bank meeting discussed forming a Monmouth county branch of the State Charities Aid and Prison Reform Association.
