Popular Monmouth Beach Priest Dies After Asthma Attack
Rev. Patrick J. Powers rector of the Church of the Precious Blood at Monmouth Beach died at the new rectory at 9 10 this morning from heart failure worsened by asthma. He had traveled to Lakehurst yesterday for Mrs. Manion's funeral and felt better before a sudden decline. He was 89 and had been active despite a week of complaints.
