Bomb Explodes Under Eisner Porch In Mechanic Street

A small bomb exploded near the porch of Sigmund Eisner’s double house in Mechanic Street at about 2:20 AM. The blast damaged windows and a barn, but not the house itself. County Detective Elwood Minagh found a second large device. Chief J. Frank Patterson seized it. No immediate clues on suspects. officials link the incident to local labor unrest at the Bister clothing factory. Neighbors alarmed, some urging removal of new factory workers amid tensions.

Ladies of Golden Eagle Temple organized in Aurora

The Ladies of the Golden Eagle Temple No. 12 was instituted last night at G A R Hall with 54 charter members, 48 witnessing the degree work. Liberty Temple of Asbury Park led the exemplification. officers were installed and zones served a fine collation. Visitors came from Lambertville Trenton New Brunswick and Asbury Park. 23 temples exist in New Jersey with about 800 members and more temples planned.

New preacher to lead Simpson Meritorial Church services

Rev Dr Alfonso Dare named as the new preacher for Simpson Meritorial M. BH. Church and will preach at both services tomorrow. Av and Mrs Augustus Chandler host Sunday entertainment while Mrs Fred Dettinger hosted a luncheon and party at her Elberon home last Saturday. Grand Chapter Officers Coming to Adah Chapter

Orners of the Grand Chapter Order of the Eastern Star will visit Adah Chapter No 6 in Masonic Hall this city on Wednesday May 25. The Improve ment Society of the First Presbyterian Church Bank held its annual supper Thursday night in the Church Chapel. About 80 will be added to the church treasury by the stated effort. Long Branch audience heard Professor Donald B. MacMillan recount his Peary at the North Pole journey with illustrations by William Crook. He described Eskimo life, dialects, and ingenuity, including a child’s experiments with a makeshift telephone and a cranberry pie made with salve in 1908.

W C T U Plans County Convention At St Luke's Church

At the regular meeting of the W C T U plans were laid for the county convention to be held in St Luke's Church on April 20. The next meeting is March 29 at 2 30 rather than 3 o'clock. Adelphi Bowing Team of the First Baptist Church will bow the second in a series with First Baptist Church of Jersey City tonight. The local team lost the first game but hopes for better luck in this one.

Insurgent Victory Ends Cannon Rule in House Fight

Washington March 19. The Republican insurgents and Democrats overthrew Cannon's rule after a 36 hour fight. Speaker Cannon sustained Dalzell on the Norris resolution to amend the rule, a motion to delay was defeated 164 to 15. The insurgents gain a ruling on constitutional privilege and threaten Cannon's resignation.

The Chattleigh Senior team edged Sexilor by 23 to 22 after a tense second half in which the lead changed hands several times. Mist Patnad scored 19 of the 23 for the Seniors while Mike Quinn starred for the losers with eight baskets.
