Friday and Saturday two dozen soldiers visited Red Bank after pay day. Five soldiers in the American Hotel on Monmouth Street used abusive language. One man received a head wound from a beer bottle and was bandaged by Dr. Sayre. Police chief Wymbs and officers Woods Bray persuaded the group not to reenter the hotel.
