Death Toll Rises After Stamford Rail Parlor Car Wreck
A wreck in Stamford involved a second section colliding with a rear parlor car, killing Everett Woodruff and Dr. G. Howe and injuring many, including Izebekah Meyerson and Gregory Humes. Engineer C. J. Dougherty and Fireman Smith fled the scene. signals had been set but ignored. The skylark car telescoped and many passengers suffered head and limb injuries.
