Motor Cyclist Seriously Injured In Collision on Wickatunk Road
John Bridgeman of Bridgeton New Jersey was seriously injured in a crash on Wickatunk road yesterday afternoon. He had both legs fractured and a scalp wound after his motorbike collided head on with a Ford touring car following a wagon. Bridgeman was taken to Matawan station and then to Monmouth Memorial Hospital where he remained in serious condition but improved by noon. The accident involved two friends on motorcycles and a wagon. the Ford attempted an unsafe pass from behind the wagon. Chauffeur and owner of the Ford were not identified but are known to be involved.

Local youth robber sent to Reform School after escape
Arthur Huff, a young Red Bank robber, was taken to Freehold jail Saturday after escaping from the Newark Y M C A camp in Sussex county. He was moved to Jamesburg Reform School today following papers signed by Judge Foster after talks with Red Bank editors John H Cook and Sigmund Eisner. George C Vanderbilt, longtime resident along the Little Silver Oceanport road near Oceanport, died suddenly in his chair this morning after a period of ill health. His wife died on April 18. Vanderbilt was about 70. Funeral plans, handled by Red Bank director Harry Fay, have not yet been completed.
