Red Bank Police Chief Buys Merry Go Round at Auction
Arthur L. Wymbs Red Bank police chief bought a carousel for 188.29 at a constable sale in Red Bank. He said the purchase was an investment with offers to buy back at least 100 over cost. The item, plus a tent engine and equipment, was sold by Stryker and Stryker at Monmouth street. The carousel previously belonged to O Chadburn who disappeared last August.

George Roop and Ensley White of Red Bank are training nightly for two upcoming races. They have entered the five mile race at Keansburg on August 17 during the carnival and the temple race in Perth Amboy later in the month. They run on Middletown roads near Nut Swamp and train indoors at the Red Bank YMCA. Roop is the Monmouth county amateur roller skating champion and the amateur five mile champion.

Nineteen Red Bank boys passed tenderfoot examinations at a Y M C A gymnasium session with about thirty candidates. The examiners were Samuel G. Woolley Jacob B. Rye C Harold Tumney and John Read. Assault case heard in Atlantic Highlands court

He was captured at his River Street home and jailed in Freehold charged with grand larceny. Judge Foster ordered commitment to Jamesburg Reform School likely until age 21.
