Man Killed Sleeping on Railroad Tracks Near Freehold

A man named George Morgan aged about 35 was struck and killed by a Central Railroad of New Jersey engine while sleeping intoxicated on the tracks about 200 yards east of Freehold passenger station this morning at ten. He was a farm laborer employed recently at Charles Applegate’s in West Freehold and was accompanied by a stranger in the locality identification unclear.

Dr. Harry Naefie, county physician, is ill at his Freehold home with blood poisoning from a left arm wound after a car overturn on Colt’s Neck road two weeks ago. The poison’s effects appeared Tuesday. he was being cared for by doctors from Freehold and Trenton and is reported slightly improved.
