Hillside man fatally stabbed by wife in nightly attack
A Hillside resident Max Davis was stabbed by his wife Laura near the Isle of Wight Hotel in Atlantic Highlands. Davis, injured between the fifth and sixth ribs, was unconscious for an hour and later told Rev. Wainwright he believed his wife attacked him after a night of jealousy. Laura Davis claimed accidental stabbing during a struggle with him and said she lost the weapon. Authorities and a physician treated him. the case remains under inquiry as details unfold.

DIES AFTER ILLNESS OF THREE MONTHS
Miss Emma J. Warren dies at 501 Broadway after a three month illness of Bright's disease. Funeral services are set for Saturday at 1:30 pm from the Warren home and 2:00 pm at St. Luke's Church, with interment in West Long Branch. She is survived by her mother and sister Ella Baker.

Supervising Deputy Grand Regent A. B. Van Buskirk visited Long Branch Council No. 429 Royal Arcanum in Odd Fellows Hall. The event celebrated his twenty fifth wedding anniversary and royal arcanum silver jubilee membership. Five members died this year. four death claims totaling eight thousand dollars were paid, bringing disbursements to eleven thousand in six months. Widows and orphans fund payments run six hundred to seven hundred dollars monthly. Thirty year total death claims exceed one hundred thirty thousand dollars. Highlands Man Beats Wife on Wet Heron Street
