Sea Girt N J July 18 The National Guard of New Jersey opens its annual encampment at Camp Fielder with the First and Fifth Regiments arriving to begin a week of rifle drills maneuvers and mock battles led by Col John B Fraser and Col Albert A Van Walraven. Governors Day planned with Essex Passaic Bergen and Warren counties invited.
After four weeks under York Freesing Plant Company supervision, the Sugar Bowl Ice Cream Company on Broadway installed a modern cooling system that eliminates ice and salt, freezing and keeping cream hard by brine extraction. Plant operations began Monday, with expected efficiency gains and new facilities for the Cedarhurst Inn offerings nearby.
