Red Bank man arrested for drunken abuse attempt
William Patterson of Oceanic, husband of Nan Patterson, was arrested by Detective Elwood Minagh on charges stemming from an alleged incident with four year old Margaret, claiming he got the child drunk on beer and attempted abuse in his cellar. Patterson pleaded guilty to getting the child drunk but denied the assault charge. He was held for the grand jury under $500 bond after a hearing in Red Bank Town Hall.
