Harry Manning an instructor for the Chalmers Detroit Automobile Company resided in New York New Yorker he drowned while bathing near the Elberon Fishery at Deal. Fishermen reported two strangers on the beach while Manning entered the surf in his underwear. Doctors pronounced him dead. His clothes were found in a bath house.

Woman commits suicide at Bradley Beach by carbolic acid
Mrs Nellie Hurley wife of Frank Hurley tinsmith of Bradley Beach drank carbolic acid at her Hammond Avenue home yesterday afternoon. She left a note for her mother and died before medical help arrived. Her two young sons, ages four and six, survive. Local neighbors and Catholic sisters assisted, coroner issued a death certificate, and the poison bottle was later found dumped near the Nurleys’ lot. The note reportedly mentions drunken husband as cause.

In Bournemouth on July 12 Hon Charles Stuart Rolls famed aviator died instantly when his plane overturned during a record flight over the English Channel. A 12 year old boy, son of Frank Ewing, a pilot on the Central steamboat Sandy Hook, is arrested in the act of robbing the J. G.
