Jacob Spivock of Long Branch was acquitted by Judge Foster in Freehold of stealing a team from Joseph Sproul near Keyport on January 17. Rosenberg, who pleaded guilty to receiving stolen goods, testified against Spivock. the case noted an additional indictment against Spivock and Rosenberg’s various connections to the theft and sale of the horses.

Recovery After Heat Prostration in Atlantic Highlands
During the Fourth of July incident Mrs R W Floyd and Mrs Hal stead were overcome at Atlantic Highlands and received medical care. Their conditions have greatly improved and recovery is expected soon. Both women are over sixty years old.
Asbury Man John C Scheeler Dies at Local Hospital
John C Scheeler owner of a Meliatessen in Asbury Park died at the hospital Tuesday night aged 64. He led Trinity Sunday school as superintendent and belonged to the Royal Arcanum. Survived by a widow, daughter Ruth aged 14, son Jack aged 9, and two sisters.

Arrest of grocer sparks protest over S S P C A agents
