Freehold grand jury indicts 31 including murder case
The January grand jury handed 31 indictments to Judge John B. Foster in Freehold, including Florence Murray alias Waters charged with murder of 15 year old Athela Bautwright after a dispute over a man. Several other cases involve breaking and entering, larceny, assault and battery, and forged checks with trials set for next Thursday. Red Bank visitors and a Tall Cedars initiation are also noted.

Man Mutilated by Train Near Hazlet Station
John Frawley 38, son of Michael Frawley of Matawan, was killed while walking along tracks south of Hazlet station between seven and nine last night. The body was found and identified after being severely mangled. no inquest will be held due to trespassing. Frawley worked for Frank Anderson’s Matawan sawmill and boarded with Luther Anderson. Funeral arrangements pending. coroner notified. Also includes a local ad for lamb and pork cuts and ironing jobs by Steiner & Son.
