The Red Bank Board of Commerce met in the Eisner building amid bad weather. Horace P. Cook spoke for a Newark based automobilists committee about reciprocity, chains, noises and smoke rules. The board adopted a resolution favoring reciprocal non resident driving rights and requested copies to state and federal officials. They also discussed Sunday post office hours and plan monthly speakers and smokers, moving meetings to the second Monday each month.

Stocking Many Streams by State Fish Protector
James M. Stratton, state fish and game protector, stocked several streams with brook trout 3 to 6 inches long from White Haven Pennsylvania. Pine Brook Hockhockson and Shark River headwaters near Hamilton received fish. Several thousand trout were released as water drained due to canal navigation closure enabling netting of additional fish. Black bass pickerel and yellow perch also planted in various lakes statewide. The mature fish could not be obtained from hatcheries.

Woman Falls at Dutch Supper in Pearl Street Lodge

The four city banks held annual stockholders meetings to elect directors. Long Branch Banking Company named Monroe V. Poole and others as directors with officers including Monroe V. Poole as president and William Hendrickson Jr as vice president. First National Bank directors include Thomas R. Woolley and Henry Terhune with officers headed by Thomas R. Woolley as president. Murder Trial Draws Freehold as Teen Dies
Fifteen year old Althea Baukwright, colored, was mortally wounded by a pistol shot Sunday night. Florence Waters of Freehold faces murder charges as two witnesses, Mrs. Jennie Shipley and Mrs. Mabel Dunwood, were arrested and held on $100 bail. The girl died at her Asbury Park home at eight this morning after a temporary hope of recovery fading.

Quartet Narrowly Escapes Freezing Near Sandy Hook
Joseph Worth and Wil lam Matthews, two clam divers, were rescued after being marooned in a small power boat near Sandy Hook. A separate rescue saved Bert Maxson and his mate after their 60-foot auxiliary sloop Bayton was wrecked at Midland Beach during Monday night in icy conditions. both were brought ashore by life-saving crews. Maxson and family reside in the Highlands.
