Hannah A Haven longtime Long Branch resident died at the Martha Washington Hotel New York on Friday aged 76. She is survived by daughter Mrs Lowell Lamb of New Rochelle. Funeral services were held in New York and burial occurred today in Laurel Hill cemetery Philadelphia. She had sold her Chelsea Avenue home to Mrs A C Mullen and spent part of summer at Victoria Cottage Second Avenue before leaving for New York in fall.

Fire destroys barn and three race horses at Red Bank
A late Saturday fire on the Monmouth County Agricultural Fair grounds near Red Bank destroyed a large barn and killed three valued race horses owned by William K. Kelly. The total loss neared $4,000, with hay harness and household items also burned. Horses Wilsonora Dudley and a Bilena colt perished. Kelly's Francis Signal horse was being worked nearby. Firefighters from Red Bank and West Side Hose battled the blaze, aided by bystanders, but the barn could not be saved. The cause remains undetermined.

Man Kills 226 Sparrows With Stick on Farm
