Bank holiday extended in Mexico City as government announces a successful loan aid. In Presidio Texas there is no change in finances amid a battle at Ojinaga where federal defenders fight to hold the town. Huerta extends New Year greetings to the United States as relations with Washington await a State Department reply.
Responding to a fire alarm yesterday a hose truck hit a trolley track at Broad and Monmouth streets and its left rear wheel gave way. Firemen aboard were tossed to the street but only slight injuries were reported as the vehicle returned to the station.
J B Bray former Red Bank Public Service Electric Company business office manager, promoted to head of Newark corporate office as Shore Electric Company faces financial distress.
