Bell and Richards to Play Red Bank at Ritter's Empire
Bell and Richards celebrated musical act booked for the first three afternoons and nights of the week as attractions at Charles W. Ritter's Empire moving picture and vaudeville theatre on Monmouth Street Red Bank. The show previously drew a strong crowd in Red Bank last June and was a pronounced hit. Ritter also secured four high class reels of moving pictures. Lewis Layton died Saturday after a six month illness of lung trouble at age 20. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Layton of Second Avenue and is survived by two brothers Benjamin and George. Funeral arrangements will be handled by John G. Sexton. The First Reformed Church ladies plan a waffle and pancake social Tuesday evening Feb 27 from 7 to 9 at the church parsonage with male voices to perform. Admission 20 cents. Steinbach Company Asbury Park offers electric lighting fixtures for sale due to a system change.

The body of Prof. William B. Ireland was laid to rest after solemn services at West Long Branch. The funeral, held yesterday afternoon, featured Masonic and Red Men delegations, religious rites led by Rev. Alfonso Dare, and hymns as observers mourned the longtime community figure.
