Samuel Archer, longtime clams and eels dealer, died last evening aboard his house boat near Raccoon Island. He lost both legs years earlier after an accident on trolley tracks and later traveled with crutches. He suffered a paralysis stroke in the weeks before death. Survived by brothers George Richard Thomas and William and by sisters Henrietta West Mary McIntyre and Amanda West. The body was taken to the Williams H Morris establishment for burial preparations. funeral arrangements not yet set.
