Mrs Violetta Carhart 46 wife of Charles Carhart of New Monmouth died from acute erysipelas after a brief illness. Funeral at her home Friday then at New Monmouth Baptist Church with Rev A Hl Sutphin officiating. Interment in Fairview cemetery. Survived by husband and daughter Marguerite. Her aunt Mrs Louise Carhart Covert had died a day earlier after suffering from related illness.

The Independent Frempany of Red Bank plans a two day Christmas distribution with clothing groceries and coal for the poor. Children will visit the Empire theatre in Monmouth street for presents from Santa Claus and a decorated tree with Rev. James Lord attending to explain Christmas meaning.
