Long Branch City Talks City Improvements and Water Rates

City commissioners and the Long Branch Property Holders Association discussed utilities and development plans including cheaper water rates, a new police and fire alert system, a central city hall station, street and gutter improvements, and Ocean avenue work. A banquet preceded the session at the Arkwright Club in New York with leaders from the association and city officials present.

Woman flees husband and factory with accused abductor

Amelia Montesana claims she left her thirteen month old child and husband on November 10 in Hast Dedham Mass to join Salvatore Zeparo a Red Bank Italian after he allegedly threatened her with death. Zeparo and Montesana face warrants for abduction and theft of $100 from his father. Zeparo held for grand jury. extradition expected.
