Trenton December 16 Republicans worry that the Geran election law for National Convention delegates may violate Republican National Committee rules. If unchanged the New Jersey primary on the fourth Tuesday in May would occur less than thirty days before the convention, risking non recognition of delegates. A tramp visiting Manasquan last night entered the closed Smalls Hotel basement through a cellar door. He built a small fire from discarded boxes to heat the cement floor for a makeshift bed, drew attention of a passerby and the town constable, and was guarded by residents while the chase for an incendiary continued. The body of John Terrell, former insurance collector, was found about 8 am prostrate near Garfield and Mattison in Asbury Park. An autopsy by Drs Wagner and Rose found no foul play yet officials kept inquiry open. Terrell had left his boarding house Thursday at 6 30 pm and was seen earlier alive by Griffiths, with whisky nearby and a cigar stub. His mother, Alice Chamberlin Terrell, died a week earlier in Ocean Grove.

Four Umbrella Menderes Jailed in Red Bank
Four umbrella menders were arrested Thursday night by Chief J. Frank Patterson and Officer John Fields for drunk and disorderly conduct and soliciting. Names given: William Sullivan of Connecticut Jon Nelson of Perth Amboy Harry Murray of Newark and Albert Bennett of Camden. Sullivan and Nelson had prior Red Bank arrests and were sentenced to ninety days in county jail Murray and Bennett, newcomers, received thirty days in Freehold.

Clarence B. Dobson a former Red Bank dental employee died suddenly at his mother's home in Asbury Park Thursday night. He was 57 years old and not under medical treatment.
